I am following this tutorial from Raspberry Pi website to build a NAS server in my home using the same Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W that already installed with PiHole Adblock and Wireguard VPN. There are many hurdle along the way, please see below of what I found so far before succeeded installed the NAS server.
• you will need to create a mount folder before mount drive.
• you will need to create a shared folder before using sudo chmod.
• you will need to add readable only = no inside [shared].
Once those three steps above created, the NAS server should work properly. In this set up I am using a Sandisk SSD 1TB and an adapter micro to USB A to connect the SSD to Raspberry Pi Zero.
