The Brief

Dr. Seuss' art has recently leased two shops in Block Arcade, Melbourne. They have requested me to promptly design a hoarding to cover the front window as per the shopping arcade's regulations to create a barrier while the renovation work is being carried out inside the shop. Additionally, they have asked me to create a window decoration after the renovation is completed.

The Design and Production Process

I visited shops 18 and 19 and promptly captured pictures. Using the client's selected artwork, I incorporated some concepts into the window design. The task was completed swiftly, with the design being approved and produced the following day. I utilized Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop to manipulate the photos and artwork, saved it as a JPG file, and presented it to the client via email.

The Result

A large Cat caricature is proposed in the main window after the renovation.

6 months later we redesigned and reproduced the second design by utilizing a simple white logo and leaving the front window blank, allowing it to serve as a frame for a large hanging artwork.
